RVTTC/TTVAC Expands RVT Representation in Canada joining the World Veterinary
Association (WVA) and the Canada Animal Health Coalition (CAHC)
The RVTTC has pledged in its mission to unite, advance and strengthen the RVT profession in
Canada. We are very excited and honored to have successfully reached our strategic goals to
Advance the Canadian RVT profession with the inclusion of RVT representation on two very
distinct associations in the animal health & welfare industry.
RVTTC is honored to have joined the World Veterinary Association (WVA) as an observer
member. The WVA is an international organization of over 80 veterinary groups worldwide,
promoting both animal health and welfare as well as public health within the “One World-One
Health” concept. RVTTC is the first group solely dedicated to representing RVTs to be given
membership in to the WVA. We feel this is a huge opportunity to help improve animal health
and welfare worldwide and look forward to providing valuable input on these global issues.
In addition, RVTTC is thrilled to have been accepted as a member of the Canadian Animal
Health Coalition (CAHC). The CAHC is a not for profit organization of stakeholders representing
the varied partners of the Canadian farmed animal industry. The CAHC utilizes the resources of
their partners sharing expertise, information and resources to develop and facilitate programs
and policies (i.e. Codes of Practice, Canadian Livestock Transport Program) directly affecting the
health and welfare of farmed animals in Canada.
RVTTC is honored and excited to being able to provide valuable input from the RVT perspective
on national and international issues regarding animal care and welfare. We look forward to working with both of these valuable groups.
